Where do we PERFORM?
Our home since 1996 is Briton Ferry Community Centre.  Its Located at the Lodge Cross, Shelone Road, Briton Ferry, Neath, West Glamorgan, South Wales, SA11 2PW.  For those that don't know the area we are just off the M4 by junctions 41 or 42 between Port Talbot and Swansea.

What's NEW in the THEATRE?

A huge congratulations to Terry Rees for his award at the Glammies.  We are all so proud of you here at bflt.org.uk. Terry Received the Moderator's choice award for his role as Romka in "The Handyman". Also congratulations to our Chairperson Joyce Harding for being nominated in the Best Actress category.

Next Production News : 'The Guys'

The rehearsals for our next production are well underway.  We will be performing the Welsh Premier of 'The Guys' by Anne Nelson.  It is an emotionally charged yet poignant true story of a New York Fire Chief who seeks out the help of a writer to write eulogies for his fallen comrades.  It has been highly successful in the US and was made into a film starring Sigourney Weaver and Anthony LaPaglia.   This is only the second time this play has been performed in the UK - the first was in the Durham Festival (not the Edinburgh  Fringe Festival as I had previously been told) and was performed by a professional cast.

Previous Production :

Our production of 'Make It Murder' was greeted by audiences with laughter and enjoyment.  We are very proud of some of the Theatre's youngsters who took part in their first 'Major' production with the Theatre, and a particular welcome to Kirsten Leary making her debut with the Theatre.

The Calender page has been updated showing the dates and Directors of the Theatres productions in 2009.

Adrian has made a start at putting PDF files of the Theatres Programs in the Productions Section.  All the theatre programs from May 2001 onwards can now be viewed online by clicking on "Program" which is below the Production title on the Productions Page.
